• Receive unlimited SMS alerts whenever an important email arrives in Gmail:

 Imagine a situation when you are away from your PC and traveling.  And at the moment you are waiting for an important email that needs to be answered immediately and all you have is your mobile phone.

 At such times, instead of constantly checking your inbox, you can set up an SMS alert that informs you about the email.

 Step 1: Install Gmail SMS Alerts Chrome Extension

 All you have to do is go to the Chrome Web Store and install the Gmail SMS Alerts extension.

 Once you install your Chrome extension, log-in to your Gmail account.

 Then follow the on-screen prompts.  Here you have to give some permission for this extension.

 Now click on the "SMS" button again to enter your phone number.

 Then you will receive a confirmation code SMS on this number.  Enter this number, then click on Confirm.

 Step 3: Add your SMS text alert rule

 Now you can create your rule to add addresses for emails for which you want to receive SMS text alerts.

 Clicking on the SMS icon at the top right of the Gmail window will open a pop-up window.  Click on the "Add New Rule" button here.

 If you do not know the email address, you can add the keyword of the subject of this email in the With subject containing below.

 Now you will see that your rules are capable, and your rules will start immediately.

 All information received in your Gmail account will be viewable in your text messages.  This is great when you have limited internet connectivity and want to quickly see some emails as text messages on your mobile phone.

 How To Enable New Gmail:
 By default, this new feature will not be enabled for you.  So you have to enable it manually.  This is very easy to do.

 For this login to your Gmail.

 Click on the gear icon on the right side.

 Now click on the Try the new Gmail option.

 Now you will see a new look in your Gmail inbox.

 If you don't like this new look, you can go back to the old look again.  For this, click on the gear icon and click on the Go back to the classic Gmail option.

 1) Customize your inbox view:
 In the new Gmail, you can customize your inbox view.  So if you want, you can decide whether to expand or shrink your inbox.

 As soon as you click on the 'Try the new Gmail' option from the gear icon, you will see a pop-up of Welcome.

 Clicking on the Next button, a window of Choose a view will appear.

 Here you will see these three options Default, Comfortable and Compact.

 If you want to change this option later, click on the top gear icon and click on the Display density option.

 2) Organize your emails without opening them:
 When your mouse hides your cursor over the email, the row of the option will display on the right side of the email's subject.

 The action of this button has the Archive, Delete, Mark as Read and Snooze options.

 These buttons improve on Gmail's old way of handling a task.  Earlier, when I wanted to delete an email from my inbox, I had to click on the box on the left side of the message, then click the delete button again.

 With the inline delete button, you can easily delete a single click without opening any mail.

 3) Confidential Mode:
 Confidential Mode is for extra security for you.  In this, you can set the expiration date for a sensitive email or cancel it completely.

 Google does not send this Confidential Content directly - only one link to this content is sent.

 Origin content resides in your mailbox and the recipient accesses the content either through their Gmail account or https if they use any other email service.

 In both cases, you can decide how long they can access this message.  Basically, you are giving a time-limit access license.

 Furthermore, in Confidential mode you can also prevent a recipient from forwarding, copying, downloading or printing your message.


 Are you afraid of sending sensitive documents in email due to fear of hacking or being forwarded?


 Well, now you can select the security layer of your choice by clicking on the lock icon below the email to enable the new Confidential Mode.

•  Gmail New Features:

 1) Self-Destructing Emails:

 With this feature, you can send mail that disappears from the recipient's inbox (between one day and five years) that you specify.  With this, you can revoke at any time after sending them.


 2) Un-Forwardable Emails:

 Confidential emails open in a special window that does not allow the recipient to forward, copy, or print this email.  However, recipients can still take a screenshot, or snap a photo from their phone.


 3) Two-factor Authentication (2FA):

 With this, you can add two-factor Authentication in your e-mail for more security.  So that recipients will have to enter a passcode to open this email or the password will be received by SMS.

 All these Confidential Mode features work in other email services besides Gmail.

 4) Snooze Messages:
 Google gives you the ability to snooze emails and be more organized when answering emails.

 So, if you see any email whose response may be too long and you cannot reply to it immediately, you can set the message to be snoozed later.

 To snooze the mail, open the message and click on the Snooze button at the top.

 How to Recall, Undo or Unsend e-mail sent to Gmail?
 Have you just  Mr. instead of Rao  Sent an email to Rao S.?  So there is no need to be embarrassed because you can withdraw it if you are using Gmail.

 If you are using Gmail on the web or in Outlook, you can unsend the email you just sent.

 You can set Gmail to pause the email you send for up to 30 seconds.  After that, you can recall the email and recover it if you forget the wrong response, spelling mistakes, bad subject or attachments.

 But one thing important here is that in Gmail you can only unsend e-mail sent when you have enabled this feature, which is not enabled by default.

 Enable Undo Send in Gmail on the Web:
 After sending the message to Gmail on the web, enable it to delay its delivery so that you can retrieve it:

 Login to your Gmail account in the browser.

 Click on the gear icon at the top-right and select Settings from the menu.

 In the General tab, select the Enable undo send checkbox.

 Now use the drop-down box to select how many seconds Gmail should pause before sending the email.  Here you select the range from 5 to 30 seconds.

 Now click on Save Changes from below to save the setting.

 How To Undo Send In Gmail:
 After enabling the Undo Send feature in Gmail, you can make a retrieve immediately after sending it.  When you send email from Gmail and feel that you need to make changes to it, you have a few ways to recall it:

 1) Unsend in Gmail:
 When you send an email from Gmail on the web and undo notification will appear on the Gmail screen after sending the message.

 On clicking the Undo button, you can change the message and send it again.
